CENTENNIAL GOOD DEEDS:
Just Two of Our Hundred Good Deeds!
We’ve all been challenged to perform 100 Good Deeds for 100 Great Years. We’re now a quarter of the way through our Centennial Year, and as a parish we’ve come through with some really great Good Deeds. Here are two in particular so far…
Ever hear of ICES? It stands for Irish Cream Elf Society. 37 couples joined together to blend, bottle, and sell their very own Irish cream. In doing so $1,101.00 was raised. The entire amount given to a family in very tough times.
Remember “Change the Flavor of Christmas” last week [Weekend of December 20-21]? That resulted in so many donations we filled 2 SUVs with 786.7 pounds of food, spices, toiletries and candy . $95.50 cash and 6 man hours for sorting was also donated to the Interfaith Food Pantry. Many families in distress will have a special meal and able to season many more to come.
With the probability of over 30,000 good deeds we can demonstrate our gratitude for all we have been given as a parish family and make our parish and community a better place in thanksgiving for 100 Great Years.
